This afternoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, received a copy of the credentials of Ambassador Radovan Stojanovic, the new ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Syria.
Minister Miqdad welcomed Ambassador Stojanovic, wishing him success in performing his duties and strengthening relations between the two countries, stressing that the relations between Syria and Serbia are historically friendly.
Ambassador Stojanovic stressed the depth of the friendly relations between Syria and Serbia and expressed his aspiration to work for the development and expansion of these relations in all fields, pointing out that there are many agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries that can be updated and activated to strengthen these relations.
From the Syrian side, the meeting was attended by Dr. Ayman Susan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Sami Salama, Director of Protocol Department, Dr. Louay Falouh, Director of the Europe Department, Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, Director of the Minister's Office, Warif Al-Halabi, Director of the Information Department, and Rua Sharbaji from the Minister's Office.
