The branch of the Syrian Foundation for Bakeries in Deir ez-Zor put the “Tishreen Reserve” bakery in the town of Tishreen in the eastern countryside of the governorate and the first automated bakery in the liberated Hamidiya neighborhood of Deir ez-Zor city after their rehabilitation in cooperation with the World Food Program from the damage they sustained as a result of terrorism.

The director of the Foundation’s branch, Eng. Samir Sanad, told SANA reporter that putting the two bakeries into service comes within the framework of achieving geographical and numerical distribution at the governorate level, as the public sector bakeries are distributed over all regions, indicating that Tishreen Bakery includes one production line and operates under a management system, with a maximum production capacity of 14 tons. Work started with a daily allowance of 3 tons, which can be increased as needed.

Sanad added: The first automated bakery works with a daily allocation of 7 tons, which can be increased to 14 tons, which is the maximum capacity of the production line that was installed in the bakery.

In turn, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Bassam Al-Hazaa said that the two bakeries contribute to relieving pressure and crowding from other bakeries, pointing out that consumer protection patrols will follow up the production process in terms of quality, quality, weight and sales through authorized personnel.

A number of citizens noted the opening of the bakeries in the context of securing the basic needs of the people returning to their cities, villages and neighborhoods after liberating them from terrorism at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army.

The number of operating bakeries in Deir ez-Zor governorate is 68, for the public and private sectors, producing about 190 tons of bread per day.
