Now there could finally be easing for travelers from the EU - but probably only for those who have been vaccinated.
More than a year ago, the USA issued a far-reaching entry ban for people from Europe.
Only US citizens, relatives of US citizens or diplomats and employees of international organizations are excluded from this.
In addition, all passengers must present a negative corona test when entering the USA.
Now the White House is apparently working on concrete opening plans, as the media report.
For the time being, however, only those who have been vaccinated can benefit from this.

The US government is developing "a phased approach that, over time, will mean that foreign nationals traveling to the United States - from any country -

fully vaccinated

. Nor has it been clarified which vaccination certificates should be recognized and whether only the preparations approved in the USA are accepted. So far, only the vaccines from Biontech / Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson have been approved in the USA.
