With their foot on the brakes, cars pushing the button, slowing down… It's summer's catchphrase for motorists on the N 184 between Méry-sur-Oise and Frépillon.
The direction of the roads of Ile-de-France (Dirif) began last Monday to renovate the roadway of this national, used daily by some 60,000 vehicles.
The site should be completed on the evening of August 27.
It is a question of rehabilitating 2 km of roadway in the Beauvais-L'Isle-Adam - Cergy direction, just before the Mériel - Villiers-Adam exit and just after the interchange with the A 115. A new asphalt, half of which is recycled, will cover this section for a total cost of 1.3 million euros, financed by the State.
As part of the multiannual improvement program for N 184, 5.6 million have been invested since 2016.
Traffic on a lane and limited speed
Consequently, the traffic is switched to the interior direction of the Francilienne and limited to one traffic lane instead of two.
The speed is also reduced to 70 km / h in this zone and to 50 km in traffic changeover zones.

“I have a client that I'm going to pick up at Taverny.
I have to take the A115.
There, instead of taking 10 minutes, I'm going to put in 20. And when we work on a fixed price, we are not a winner at all.
