With the delay in the response of the government of the Turkish regime to the fires raging in several provinces a few days ago, the people used their own tools to put them out in the absence of the government.
"Zaman newspaper" reported that the people of Mugla Province in the Aegean region, southwest Turkey, participated in putting out the fires by placing water tanks on small trucks equipped with water pumps, in addition to helping the tanks transport water.
In light of the shortage in the number of firefighting planes, several countries participated in extinguishing the forest fires that continued for the ninth day in the southern coast of Turkey, including Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Spain and Ukraine, with 18 aircraft.
Sources said that the Turkish firefighting planes stood motionless at the Airport of the Aviation Association in Ankara, while the fires are raging in 7 provinces, while officials of the Turkish Aviation Association indicated that the planes need about 5 million dollars to make them ready for flight.
The government of the Turkish regime was criticized for its delay in responding to control the fires, which caused an increase in losses, as the fires caused huge material losses and loss of life.
The continuous fires since the 28th of last July have killed eight people, seven of them in Antalya, in addition to one person in Mugla.
