He does not want his children to be vaccinated against the corona virus.
With this, the Green is at least on a private level against the decision passed by the health ministers of the federal and state governments on Monday to offer children from 12 years of age a vaccination.
The Green politician said in an interview with the
Bild
: "I'm pretty sure that the risk for the children is greater with the vaccination than with the infection." You have to decide accordingly for the risk of infection.
Palmer's stance is thus diametrically different from that of the SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach.

Palmer has three children, but his oldest daughter is only eleven years old.
Even if the vaccination offer only applies to children from the age of 12, the father still wants to rule out a vaccination.

"Probably my children would not even notice if they got the infection," said Palmer, explaining his plan.

On Monday, all health ministers of the federal and state governments met and discussed a vaccination offer for young people aged 12 and over.
They agreed to expand the range of vaccinations.
All adolescents from the age of 12 who are willing to be vaccinated should in future have the opportunity to be vaccinated against corona.
