The Promotion Africa association from Herrsching currently has projects in Kenya.
It's about education, work and help for children in slums.
The chairwoman was there now.
Herrsching - The youngest "child" of the Herrsching Association Promoting Africa, the Mobility Center in Kenya, is doing well.
Chairwoman Susanna Kiehling personally convinced herself of this in July.
Together with Rita Enzinger, she was on site and visited the association's projects.
The Herrschinger Verein supports 70 children and young people in the capital, Nairobi, who live in the slum there.
In addition, Promoting Africa runs a vocational school not far from the Kenyan capital, where 68 young people are educated.
32 of them will take their state exams this month.
Promoting Africa, Herrsching: Vocational school students near Kenya put what they have learned into practice
The Mobility Center is part of this vocational school.
There, students who are learning to be a car mechanic, baker or cook can gain practical experience.
Their products are also put up for sale.
Susanna Kiehling was pleased that many cars were parked in front of the workshop for repairs.
"In addition, several residents from Malaa came to have their bicycles repaired," she says.
Chairwoman Susanna Kiehling: Willingness to help must not diminish
The fact that these young people can be given a perspective is largely thanks to the association's members and donations.
Susanna Kiehling hopes that this willingness to help will not end.
Further information about the association and its work can be found on the Promoting Africa website.
