The Au market town council has passed important resolutions on day care centers, kindergartens and primary schools.

Not everything was undisputed.

Au / Hallertau

- crèche, kindergarten, elementary school: These are the community facilities that many children go through.

On Tuesday, the Au Marktgemeinderat passed important resolutions or paved the way for all three institutions in the municipality.

And not all were undisputed.

All rooms with a permanently installed air filter system

Right at the beginning of the meeting, Mayor Hans Sailer announced that he saw "no need for action" when purchasing mobile air purification devices for primary schools. Sailer said that in many municipalities and also in the district there is currently a lot of discussion about the purchase of such devices, which are known to be funded by the state government with 1750 euros. Some municipalities had refused the purchase, some had taken an intermediate route, others had bought equipment for all rooms. And in Au? After the general renovation of the primary school, there are only classrooms and specialist rooms that belong to Category 1 defined by the Federal Environment Agency - sufficient ventilation possible, "no need" for the purchase of mobile air purifiers.

In addition, according to Sailer, all rooms are equipped with a permanently installed air filter system.

Conclusion: “I don't see any need” to purchase air purification devices.

There were no requests to speak on this statement from the ranks of the municipal councils.

There were also no discussions about changing the statutes for the day-care centers of the Au market.

An incorrect sentence slipped into the articles of association due to an oversight.

That has now been healed.

Paragraph 10 now states that participation in lunch is compulsory in the “Auer Hopfenzwerge” crèche.

Logical, because they eat there at 11.30 a.m., the core booking time lasts until 12 p.m.

Discussion about lunch in kindergarten

The corresponding regulation in the “Maria de la Paz” kindergarten was more difficult and controversial: the fact that participation in lunch should be made compulsory when booking by 1 p.m. had caused unrest among the parents. Many municipal councils were almost inundated with emails. Because parents would like to pick up their children from kindergarten and then eat with them (and maybe the schoolchildren).

The solution that was offered: Those who don't want lunch can get a place in the “Am Vogelhölzl” kindergarten.

This will be queried when registering.

There is of course a transitional period for this new regulation.

It was true that in the meantime you could also account for lunch participation on a daily basis, met with no open ears from the administration: It was an uncanny effort - both for the kindergarten staff and for the market administration.

A monthly flat rate is much better.

The municipal council agreed with the interim solution, following the assessment of market councilor Beatrix Sebald (FWG): "That is a good solution."
