​The government has restricted people in Sheung Wan's designated "restricted area" (i.e., Seaview Building, 82-87 Connaught Road West, Sheung Wan) from 7 pm yesterday to stay at their premises and undergo compulsory testing.

As of midnight today, about 300 residents have been tested and no confirmed cases have been found.

The government also sent personnel to visit about 180 households in the "restricted area", of which about 70 households were not answered during the process.

Starting from about 6.30 am today, people who have been tested in Sheung Wan’s designated "restricted area" can provide the prescribed personnel After personal data, leave the "restricted area" through the designated exit.

In addition, the government also issued a mandatory test announcement yesterday. Anyone who has been in the relevant building for more than two hours between July 15 and August 6 will not be in the "restricted area" when the "relevant announcement" comes into effect. Inside, they must also undergo compulsory testing on or before August 8.

A confirmed 32-year-old male patient lives in Seaview Building, 82-87 Connaught Road West, Sheung Wan. He left for the United States on July 25 and returned to Hong Kong via Doha on August 5 by flight QR818.

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, samples were taken at the airport temporary sample collection center for virus testing, and the results were initially positive. Tests by the Public Health Laboratory Service Office of the Department of Health showed that the patient had the L452R variant virus strain.
