With artistic performances inspired by folklore in Syria and the dabkes presented by the Gabala Folklore Ensemble, the activities of the second Slanfeh Tourism Festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with Lattakia Governorate, were launched in Slanfeh town square.
The opening of the festival, which was accompanied by the opening of a market for handicrafts and rural women, witnessed a large crowd of the townspeople and vacationers from Lattakia and other governorates.
Vice President of the Executive Office of Lattakia Governorate, Eng. Firas Al-Sousi, in a speech during the opening, indicated that the festival represents a step towards developing the tourism sector in the region and highlights the importance of the town and villages in the field of popular tourism, which will support the local product in its various forms, stressing that the festival in its second session is evidence of Tourism returns to this town, which previously suffered from terrorist attacks.
The head of the town council, Ammar Badour, said in a statement to SANA that the festival has become an annual tradition that includes an exhibition of heritage products and rural women's products related to what the town's environment produces.
Director of Lattakia Tourism, Eng. Yasser Douai, stated that the Ministry of Tourism continues to support festivals that add beauty to the towns in which they are held and reflect the state of harmony, love and nature that distinguish them, especially as they contribute to illuminating the tourist areas and introducing the markets there and the products they are famous for, stressing that the success and continuity of the festival is the fruit of cooperation. various authorities in the province.
