The first fully electrically powered taxi purrs through the city.

It is controlled by Florian Drechsler, who pursues several goals with his Kia E-niro.

Fürstenfeldbruck - On the one hand, Florian Drechsler wants to use it to target environmentally conscious customers and, on the other hand, to defy the increased gasoline costs.

The 37-year-old's taxi is charged at home in Aich, where the charging station is connected to the photovoltaic system built on the roof of the house.

Drechsler speaks of an “ecologically sensible solution” “if I use my own energy”.

He has been directing his taxis through Bruck for twelve years. In addition to the Kia, there is also a natural gas-powered hybrid Toyota in use. He retired another Toyota. Which is by no means true of Drechsler's father Bernhard. He and other shift-duty taxi drivers will keep the small turner fleet on course.

The first fully electric taxi from Bruck - a combination of limousine and station wagon - has a range of 450 kilometers and has to be supplied with new energy every two days at the local green electricity filling station in Aich.

Unlike in Munich, where customers can order their own e-taxi from the head office as part of a model test, the turner's cab in Bruck cannot be booked with a call to the control center.
