A wildfire swept through the center of a small town in northern California, hours after authorities evacuated the population.

The fire burned on both sides of Highway 299 in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest on August 4, 2021. The flames had burned a territory larger than the city of Los Angeles as of Thursday, reaching an area of more than 1,305 square kilometers. .
