A 30-year-old man was killed last night (Friday) and a 38-year-old man and a woman in her 30s were seriously injured in a fatal car accident that occurred near the Barkan interchange on Road 5, in the Ariel area.

The MDA team that arrived at the scene was forced to determine the death of the 30-year-old, and evacuated the two injured to Beilinson Hospital.

"This is a very serious car accident," said MDA paramedic David Baruchi.

"The two vehicles involved in the accident were at a great distance on both sides of the road, with severe tin injuries, and the injured were trapped inside. The woman took off her first shirt from one of the vehicles as she suffered severe injuries to her body.

"The driver of the vehicle sitting next to her was without signs of life and unfortunately after tests we had to determine his death," the paramedic said.

"Rescuing the driver from the other vehicle was very complex, while at the same time giving him primary care. When he was rescued, we put him in an intensive care unit and evacuated him for further treatment at the hospital."

Later, a 30-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Route 531, near the Sokolov interchange.

The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Meir Hospital.
