The "Land Sharing Pilot Scheme" will accept applications from May 6, 2020. After more than one year, the Development Bureau announced the first application submitted by Nan Fung Development Co., Ltd. at the end of last month.
The Development Bureau announced today (6th) two more applications, each submitted by Sun Hung Kai Properties, on more than 630,000 square feet of land on Ho Chau Road, Nam Sang Wai, Yuen Long, which is expected to provide 2,616 public housing units; the other is by Henderson Land Development And Wheelock Properties proposed that it involved more than 2 million square feet of land next to Lam Village in Tai Po, which is expected to provide 8,484 units of public housing.

Adjacent to Tai Po Lin Village, 18 public housing buildings can be built
The Development Bureau has received two more applications for the "Land Sharing Pilot Scheme". Together with the earlier application submitted by Nan Fung Development, there have been three applications in total.
Among them, Haiteng Enterprise Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Henderson Land Development Co., Ltd., and two subsidiaries of Wheelock Properties Co., Ltd. filed applications, involving land at Sheshan Road and Linjin Road in Tai Po. 193,416 square meters, or about 2.08 million square feet, of which about 275,000 square feet are government land, accounting for about 13%.
In the public housing development part, 18 residential buildings are planned to be built with a maximum height of 39 floors, which can provide 8,484 units; and the private building part has 10 buildings, which can provide 3,636 units.
The private housing development part is expected to be completed in 2031, and the public housing/"first home" part formation project is expected to be completed in 2027.

Nan Shengwei site selected to become an official land
Another application was filed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Development Subsidiaries, He Yu Co., Ltd., Cheng Jun Co., Ltd. and Fortune Development Co., Ltd., involving a site on Ho Chau Road, Nan Sang Wai, Yuen Long, adjacent to Tung Shing Lane, covering an area of 58,978 square meters. That is about 630,000 square feet, of which about three become official land.
The project plans to build 5 public housing and residential buildings, which will provide 2,616 units; and 4 private housing buildings, which will provide 1,474 units in total.
The private housing development part is expected to be completed in 2031, and the public housing/"first home" part formation project is expected to be completed in 2027.

The application for the first "Land Sharing Pilot Scheme" was submitted by Nan Fung Development Co., Ltd. The project is located on Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, adjacent to Tai Po Industrial Estate.
The application involves about 1,149 public housing or first home buyers, while the private housing unit has 493 units. The former is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025, and the latter is expected to be completed in November 2028.
However, the application site occupies about 343,000 square feet, of which about 4 are government land.
