Authorities in the US state of California have evacuated more than 16,000 people due to wildfires.
The Associated Press quoted local authorities in the US state as saying that the greatest danger at the present time is a fire they called "Dixie" raging on an area of more than 112,000 hectares.
So far, there was no information on casualties, while the fire destroyed most of the buildings in the town of Greenville, located in northeastern California.
