The community of Paunzhausen is in good financial shape.
No debt, no borrowing.
But: the reserves are melting.

- The administrative budget of the municipality of Paunzhausen comprises 2.52 million euros for this year, 2.25 million euros are planned in the asset budget for 2021. Just in time for the summer break, the local council passed the figures on Thursday - unanimously and without discussion. The warriors and soldiers' association also benefits from the good financial situation.
There was not much to discuss, after all, the municipality of Paunzhausen is financially in good shape: The debt level is zero - and that will also be the case at the end of 2021, because no borrowing is required this year. However, in order to cope with the investments, you have to take almost two million euros from the reserve, which reduces the amount that you have on the high edge to 1.67 million euros at the end of the year.
The “big chunks” in the administrative budget can be found on page 45 of the budget: the municipality expects almost 1.2 million euros this year in income from income tax participation, and just under 314,000 euros in key allocations from the Free State.
As treasurer Manfred Bosch explained, this is around 20 percent less than in the previous year, which is due to the increased tax power of the community.
It currently ranks 18th among the 24 district municipalities (in the previous year it was still in 20th place).
When asked by Mayor Johann Daniel, Bosch said that the planned income from trade tax was “very cautiously set”: 140,000 euros are expected.
For comparison: The result of the 2019 annual financial statements showed income of 254,000 euros.
Of course, all of this income is offset by large expenditures in the administrative budget: Paunzhausen alone has to pay 840,000 euros as a district levy to the Freising district - around twelve percent more than in 2020, which is also due to the increased levy of the community. This year you also have to raise 187,000 euros as a VG levy. In the property budget, for example, one million euros is set aside for the purchase of land, a sum that, of course, could only be estimated. Even if it is not the largest item in the asset budget, the transfer from the administrative budget to the asset budget is very gratifying: 106,000 euros are to be earned in 2021 in order to be able to support investment activities. And one more important piece of information:For the conversion of the apartment in the kindergarten into a care unit for a fourth group, 500,000 euros have been made available this year. The subsidies from the Free State are not expected to flow until 2022.
The budget charter with a total volume of 4.77 million euros, which comes into force retroactively as of January 1st, was unanimously approved.
KSV receives subsidy
Because things are looking good financially in Paunzhausen, the application of the Paunzhausen Warriors and Soldiers Association for a community grant for the renovation of the warrior and deceased plaque at the war memorial in the Johanneck cemetery was treated very benevolently. As Daniel said, many years ago they paid 50 percent of the costs for the renovation of the war memorial in Paunzhausen. In the case of the current application, which is based on costs of almost 2,000 euros, that would be “a thousand”, says Daniel. However, if you as a community were to take over two thirds or 70 percent, that would not be “wrong” in his opinion. Not even in the eyes of the local councils, who also unanimously gave a grant of 70 percent the green light.
