The multi-award winning Mexican diver Rommel Pacheco concluded his participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by finishing sixth in the men's 3-meter springboard final.
After the competition, the athlete announced that he is retiring and starting a new stage in his professional life with a federal deputation for the National Action Party, and will take office on September 1.
"I am leaving extremely satisfied," Pacheco told CNN, adding that he will transfer his values and discipline to the Chamber of Deputies.
