Tokyo: 4x100 Italy gold medal relay

Second triumph for Jacobs, Tortu beats rival Gb at the finish line (ANSA) Italy is gold medal in the 4x100 relay of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The blue quartet - Lorenzo Patta-Marcell Jacobs-Eseosa Desalu-Filippo Tortu - closed the race ahead of Great Britain. The Italian relay ran in 37''50 (a new Italian record that improved that of 37''95 set yesterday in the semifinal), ahead of Great Britain (37''51). Bronze to Canada in 37'70.
