Tunisian President Kais Saied dismissed three governors from their posts.
The Tunisian News Agency reported that Said issued yesterday presidential decisions to end the assignment of the governors of Monastir, Medenine and Zaghouan.
Saeed had announced last month the freezing of parliament and the dismissal of Prime Minister Hisham al-Mashishi from his post against the backdrop of the widespread protests that took place in many cities in the country. He also announced his assumption of executive power with the help of a new prime minister appointed by him.
Tunisian regions have recently witnessed massive demonstrations against the practices of the Brotherhood’s Ennahda movement, as mass demonstrations took place in the cities of El Kef, Kairouan, Gafsa, Sousse, Bizerte and Sfax, to demand the dissolution of the movement, while demonstrators attacked its headquarters, stressing that it bears responsibility for the crisis economic conditions and the failure to confront the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
