At about 2 am today (7th), a task force of the Enforcement and Control Section of the Traffic Department of the West Kowloon Region cracked down on drunk driving in Tsim Sha Tsui.

During the period, a Volkswagen private car with a "P" plate was found. The "Kue Speed" was transferred from Mindeng Trail to Burma Station, and stopped when it was traveling. It looked suspicious, so it stopped for investigation.

It was reported that the car suddenly speeded up and fled, and when it turned from Burma Station to Mody Road, it suddenly stopped.

Sources at the scene stated that the male driver and passengers of the car abandoned the car and fled. Volkswagen then slipped forward and crashed into a Porsche private car parked on the side of Mody Road.

When the male driver involved fled to Humphreys Road, more than 300 meters away, he was eventually intercepted and arrested by police; however, the passengers fled without a trace.

The police believed that the male driver was suspected of "driving after taking drugs." He later called on drug detection dogs to search the car. Initially, nothing was found. The incident is now being investigated.
