Within the eleventh festival for people with disabilities in As-Suwayda, the Children’s Day event was held today, entitled “The Smile for Children.” It included various games, competitions, gifts and theatrical performances that promote the values of love, honesty, honesty and learning.
The head of the administrative committee of the branch of the Syrian Association for the Physically Handicapped, Nizar Shuja, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the event, which was held in cooperation with the Youth Center in the branch of the Syrian Family Planning Association, aims to integrate children with disabilities and those who lack family care with healthy children to raise them properly and bring joy to their hearts.
For her part, the coordinator of the Youth Center at the Syrian Family Planning Association branch in Suwayda, Hadeel Nasr Al-Din, stated in a similar statement that the association’s participation in the festival seeks to enhance participatory work and achieve social cohesion, indicating that the competitions and games presented focused on aspects of intelligence, while the puppet theater show highlighted the importance of volunteer work in society. .
In turn, Suha Kokash, the mother of a child with disabilities, drew attention to the importance of effectiveness in enhancing the social aspects within the lives of children with disabilities, developing their talents and skills, and providing them with many experiences.
The activities of the festival, which was held by the branch of the Syrian Association for the Physically Handicapped in cooperation with the Suwayda City Council, started on the 31st of last month and will continue until the twelfth of this month, and it includes a shopping market for the products of people with disabilities and their dependents and supporters, in addition to a variety of daily activities.
