(CNN Spanish) -

The US group CNCO presented this week the video for "Toa la noche", its first single since the departure of Joel Pimentel.

According to the musical group, this marks the beginning of a new era as a quartet.

The song was recorded in "La Base", the studios created by Wisin and Los Legendarios in Puerto Rico.

There they explored new sounds, more urban, more similar to the proposal of the band in its beginnings.

"We came from a project that was quite classic and now we wanted to try to go back a bit to what was our beginnings, in a way that was quite urban. What better than to do it with Wisin! Work the project with Wisin, we traveled to Puerto Rico We were on 'La Base' with Los Legendarios and we released a couple of songs and one of them is

Toa la noche

, "Zabdiel De Jesús Colón told Zona Pop CNN.

The group says that this is the beginning of a new era, but how did they rediscover their identity now as a quartet?

"

It was really a quick process but it was a little difficult, the truth is, we are not going to lie to you.

It was a moment that we did not expect to come.

The desire is there and the desire has always been.

I think CNCO is long overdue.

The essence continues, the essence of CNCO is there, it will always be.

I believe that the best is yet to come.

We are much more eager to return to the stage and be able to bring this good vibe to our audience, which we have not been able to see for a long time, so we come with all the desire to break, "Christopher Vélez told Zona Pop CNN.

More mature lyrics: this is what the new CNCO will sound like

This new era will also be marked by more mature lyrics and some "a little stronger" on the subject.

"We have been working on making our songs more mature. We are growing, our fans are growing with us too, and I think it is time to give them that. There are some songs out there that are obviously stronger than others, but we are crazy because all that comes out, "Erick Colón told Zona Pop CNN.

Like several

boybands

, the boys of CNCO started the band as teenagers, at most they reached 20 years.

The group was born in 2015 during the Univisión reality show "La Banda", and a few months later they released their first album "Primera cita".

This production celebrates its fifth anniversary in August.

This is a time that Christopher Vélez remembers fondly and in which, as with "Toa la noche", they also worked with Wisin.

"Something super cool that we experienced on that album (is that) Wisin and his team helped us produce it too. Now that we are back from working with Wisin, we are once again experiencing that

bonding

with him, but I think with a little more urban music, a little louder, a little more

dembow

, more solid, "Velez told Zona Pop CNN.

"

We have evolved a lot since that album.

I think (among) the beautiful memories is putting me in a crazy study until three in the morning,

trying to figure it out

(trying to understand), and I think that was the hardest thing, seeing Wisin yelling there 'give him more strong'.

I think that was the hardest experience we've had starting all of this.

Going with Wisin again, being there at 'La Base', you saw the evolution, you saw the growth of us and we loved that experience ", added Richard Camacho.

"Toa la noche club tour", United States

In August the band will begin a 16-date tour in the United States, in which they will perform in a more intimate format.

The group added that the followers will enjoy both their classics and some new songs that will be part of the next record production.
