The opening day yesterday did not mark what was to come.
Ashram lost the hoop in the first exercise, got a low score and entered a very stressful spot in the competition.
Sussman recounts the moments they went through in the locker room: "Linoy was very confused. She did not remember what happened on the surface. At first I was angry. I told her: 'Linoy, just enter the final. Reset yourself.' I was very tough and Linoy was a little scared. Then Ella Smopalov, Nicole Zelikman's coach with all her experience, came into the picture. I asked her to talk to Linoy a bit and I moved aside. Linoy really loves Ella and very much appreciates her. For me Ella is the best coach in the world. I left them both five minutes together and then I saw "Another Linoy. Linoy with a spark in her eyes. Ella lit it and helped me release it."

You have a great relationship. You and Linoy with Ella and Nicole.

Do you digest that you are the coach of an Olympic champion?
"No".
Do you remember how you started together?
"Every day I remember how it all started. We watch videos of the beginning together. Linoy is the queen of the world for me. I was also a little stressed by what happened in the first exercise. She ate well but lost weight every day from stress and nerves. And how did she get up for the competition today?
