Moments after expressing hope in the gym in Tokyo, with the gold medal around her neck, the excited Linoy Ashram recounted her experiences from the all-around competition and from the day she became an Olympic medalist.
"Standing on the podium in the first place is a crazy experience and I do not digest it," Ashram concluded.
"I'm in peak excitement. I had a huge crowd that came from Israel to cheer me and my coach and the Olympic Committee and the union. My sponsors were with me even in my toughest times and gave me back. That's what gave me the drive and strength to keep going.
