At about 3 a.m. this (7th) morning, officers from Team 1 of the Anti-Triad Action Group of the Yau Tsim Police District raided a unit at 115 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui, and smashed a suspected unlicensed bar.

During the operation, the police arrested a 23-year-old person in charge surnamed Su Nan for "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages", "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale" and violation of "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) ( Business and Premises) Ordinance (Chapter 599F).


Two other local men (30 and 29 years old) were arrested on suspicion of "drinking in places without a liquor license".

Police officers found a total of approximately 56 grams of suspected cocaine in the unit, with a total value of more than 90,000 yuan. The three arrested persons were also arrested on suspicion of "drug trafficking".

During the operation, police officers seized about 125 cans of beer, worth about 870 yuan.

All the arrested persons are now being detained for investigation.
