Struggled to return jewelry confiscated 8 years ago - and was stunned when police said they had already been returned
The jewelry of E., a young woman from Jerusalem, was confiscated when she was a girl as part of a closed investigation file.
She repeatedly tried to find out what happened to them, until about a month ago, she claimed, she was told that the police had somehow returned them to her friend - who completely denies it.

About eight years have passed since A., a 24-year-old woman from Jerusalem, became entangled with the law enforcement authorities.
According to her, the police are still making it difficult for her to move forward in her life.
This, she claims, is because jewelry that was confiscated from her at the time as part of a closed investigation file, was never returned to her.
"At the age of 14, in 2013, a friend of mine was arrested for shoplifting," E. told Walla! In a conversation this week.
Later, she says, "we were summoned to the interrogation station after which we were released, and we were told that we would be updated later on the results of the interrogation."
These were valuable jewelry for E.C.
"I have a great-grandmother bracelet and a ring that a friend bought me as a child, later my partner, and some other jewelry."

Since more than eight years have passed, the case has been closed, but she claims "they returned all their jewelry to all the girls, but they did not return the jewelry to me. Every year I would visit the police station and ask what's going on with it, and every time they tell me: ' '".
"A month ago, I went to the station again, an officer talked to me about the incident, and told me that they had already returned my jewelry to one of the girls, and it had been eight years since the incident." He further added that the jewelry may have disappeared, and if so she is invited to go to court and sue the police. Following this, E. called her friend and asked if it was possible that the jewelry had been returned to her over the years by the police, but she denied it. "You came to my house, with a search warrant in my name, you signed me for my things that you confiscated and in the end you claim that it was returned to a person who is not me? I want my jewelry," A. slapped the officer.
Having no choice, E. asked the court to help her track down the lost jewelry, which she claims is still in police possession.
Police: The jewelry was returned to her
The police said in response that "this is an investigation into the theft of property from a jewelry store. As part of the investigation, a search was conducted for the property suspected of being stolen by one of the people involved in the case.
It was further stated that "in response to the claim stated in your application, it was explained to Mrs. E. that she is entitled to apply to a court which has the authority to examine and hear such a request."
