"Terrible abuse": A 15-year-old boy and his friends are suspected of blowing up firecrackers in the mouth of a dog in the north
A complaint was lodged with the police along with horrific photos of a battered dog, with burning firecrackers in its mouth.
The investigation raises suspicions that it was boys from Kasra Samia who harmed him, and after denying this, the 15-year-old admitted that he and his friends tied him with a firecracker to his body.
"A particularly shocking case"

A 15-year-old boy from the Kasra Samia local council in the Upper Galilee was questioned on suspicion of dog abuse. The police complaint about the boy was submitted to the Maalot police station by the "Let the Animals Live" organization, along with horrific photos of a battered dog with burning firecrackers that hit the dog.
The boy said during his interrogation that he did not hit the dog and that he saw the dog's carcass after a car ran over him to death. Later in the investigation, the boy changed his version and said that he and his friends saw the dog, chased him and threw burning firecrackers at him, which hit him. Then they grabbed the dog and tied a firecracker to his body and then set fire to the firecracker. In the face of the many injuries the dog died to death and then the boys shoved a firecracker into the dog's mouth, set it on fire and the firecracker exploded and killed the dog.
"Horrific abuse," police investigator Eddie Samadja described the gruesome case he was exposed to a few days ago.
Samadja, head of the youth department at the Maalot police station, said the investigation revealed that four other boys were involved in the incident.
He said "each of the boys claims towards another that he did the acts and none of them took responsibility".
The boys' parents also told investigators that they did not believe their sons were involved in the grievous act.

The home of the boy who was first interrogated also contained an air pistol (Airsoft), which is defined as a prohibited toy for possession.
The police also came across a business that allegedly sold the firecrackers, a phenomenon that is mostly common on holidays, such as the recently celebrated Feast of Sacrifice.
Etty Altman, of the "Let the Animals Live" organization, said that "this is a particularly shocking case, but it is important to note that this case comes alongside many other cases of abuse."
"For months we have been receiving harsh reports of animal abuse by human scum and unfortunately we are dealing with dozens of cases on a daily basis. Unfortunately we are doing the work that the state, through the Ministry of Agriculture's inspection unit has to do."
