The deportation of Moussa Nomoko continues to cause criticism.

Now the helpers from the district of Dachau are making serious reproaches to the district office.

Dachau - The helper groups in the district have turned to District Administrator Stefan Löwl in an open letter.

They are appalled by actions that are unworthy of a constitutional state, such as summoning unsuspecting refugees to the immigration office in order to be able to deport them more easily.

The deportation of a well-integrated refugee made waves in the district. Moussa Nomoko (27) was handcuffed by the police during a meeting in the Dachau district office and was deported to Mali that same evening (we have reported several times). Nomoko had lived in Germany for eight years, most recently had his own apartment and worked at the Polz bakery in Ampermoching, where he was very much appreciated.

Many people in the district - but especially the helpers - are appalled by the action of the Dachau district office.

They also noticed a change in behavior in the agency for some time - earlier the agency would have tried to reconcile legal, economic and humanitarian aspects.

Now it is even so far that volunteers in the authority are also approached personally.

The helper group members are not concerned with “not applying laws, but using legal options”.

After a meeting of all helpers last Wednesday, Stefan Haas, Heinrich Fitger and Dr.

Joachim Jacob on behalf of the helpers in the district summarized their criticism in an open letter from which the Dachauer Nachrichten quoted:

“For some time now we have been more and more irritated by the increasingly reckless way in which years of successful integration efforts by the refugees as well as the helper groups and Caritas are disregarded and destroyed.

It is with horror that we see conduct that is unworthy of a constitutional state.

■

Calling refugees to the immigration office without giving a reason so that the police can collect them there better paints a fatal picture in public.

With such administrative

action,

immigrant people cannot build trust in a constitutional state and its authorities.

On the contrary: it destroys the relationship with the district administration and creates fear of even going to the authority.

This is dangerous, unnecessary and prevents the self-evident basis of trust that an agency in a constitutional state relies on.

■

If proceedings have not yet been concluded, be it that the cases are still with the hardship commission or legal proceedings are ongoing, deportations must be suspended until the administrative or legal proceedings have been finalized or finalized.

■ In

this respect, it seems extremely cynical when the deportees are instructed to appeal to the German authorities and courts from their home country.

■

In the case of deportations or the withdrawal of the work permit, the integration services of those affected are less and less taken into account.

■

The District Office reports criminal charges without giving the refugees an opportunity in advance to resolve any discrepancies in the course of the administrative procedure.

For example, refugees are turned into criminals in order to legally exclude work and / or residence permits and to make it easier for people to be deported.

■ In

many cases, the Dachau economy and crafts are dependent on the employment of refugees. To do this, she needs security, because there are no workers to be found on the regional labor market for many of the work done by refugees. It is therefore absurd to refer to allegedly insufficient German or specialist knowledge if this is not necessary for the work in question, as even employers say, who should above all be interested in having sufficient qualifications of their workforce.

■

Your statement “If you want a passport, you will get it” demonstrably does not correspond to reality and negates the practical problems. In some cases, the nationality cannot be clearly clarified, birth documents cannot be obtained, the costs are much higher than officially stated and unaffordable for the applicant, in the case of Iran there is a possibility of endangering relatives at home. Nor is it taken into account that many refugees fear that they will be deported once their identity has been clarified. The immigration office regularly emphasizes that trust in the authority is an important part of integration. However, it is precisely this trust that cannot be won with the current administrative action!

For all these reasons in particular, we urgently need to pause and review the administrative activities of the District Office, especially from a humanitarian point of view. It is very important to us that there is again a constructive dialogue between the District Office and all of the citizens of Dachau. Because we are all committed to the future of the district and its people! ”Dn
