Al-Nawaeer Club won the handball championship title for the cubs category after the conclusion of the final “playoff” competition, which was hosted by the Martyr Nasih Alwani Hall in Hama, with the participation of Al-Waqah, Al-Sha’la and Deir Atiyah clubs.
The Norias took first place after defeating Al-Shoula in the first match with 26-17 goals, then they beat Al-Yahta by 26-25 goals. They also won the third match against Der Attia with a score of 23-17, while the Al-Nawair cubs came in second place with two wins over Al-Shoala and Al-Dairatiya and a single loss against Al-Nawair. Der Attia ranked third, and Al-Shula came in the fourth and last place.
The tournament’s organizing committee decided to award the title of best player to three players: Nawair Akram Qassab, Al-Waqqaa Ammar Bilal, and Deir Atiyah Omar Harfi, while Al-Waqqa goalkeeper Muhammad Nimeiri Sheikhmus was chosen as the best goalkeeper.
Al-Nawaeer Club member Haitham Khamis said in a statement to SANA sports reporter that the team won the title well after its victory over all the participating teams in the final gathering thanks to the great understanding and harmony between the players and their commitment to the instructions of the training staff, indicating that the team includes a good number of raw materials and promising talents that have been trained for a long time and presented. Outstanding performance, so she deserved the championship title, which is added to the club's many titles in this important game in various age groups.
