A man of about 40 years old died this Saturday evening on the A6 motorway, indicates the company of CRS motorway Sud Ile-de-France.
At around 10:25 p.m., the victim walked up the left lane, for a reason which is not yet known.
This man is then struck by a vehicle in the direction of Paris, near the town of Grigny.
The involved vehicle did not stop.
About thirty other cars then rolled over the body of the pedestrian, who died.
The Chilly-Mazarin motorway CRS police officers are calling for witnesses.
They seek to identify the victim, and also to find the motorist who struck him first.
Not the first accident on the A6
This tragic accident on the A6 motorway, between a pedestrian and cars, is not a first.
In 2014, a 63-year-old man was killed on the A6 near Wissous after being struck in the province-Paris direction at the junction with the A10.
More recently, in 2019, another 47-year-old pedestrian died on the A6 in the middle of the night.
Living in Antony (Hauts-de-Seine), he used to go to work in Rungis (Val-de-Marne) by crossing the A6 every day on foot around 3 a.m.
