Health pass: new penalties for fraudsters

New sanctions against fraudsters will be communicated, as soon as the health pass is extended on Monday, August 9, to the various jurisdictions, according to a circular from the Ministry of Justice revealed by the

The objective is to provide "

an effective, dissuasive and rapid penal response to deal with the rebound of the epidemic

".

The circular notably provides for the creation of an offense of "

fraudulent presentation of a health pass belonging to another

".

He will be liable to a fourth class fine of 750 euros, "

fixed at 135 euros

".

The

JDD

explains that the sanction will be doubled, up to 1,500 euros, in the event of a repeat offense within fifteen days.

It will be a fine of 3,750 euros and six months in prison for a third violation in the space of thirty days.

A scale that should also apply to unvaccinated caregivers, according to the newspaper.

45,000 euros for companies

According to the circular, the heads of the companies concerned by the health pass incur a fine of up to 1,000 euros - or even 9,000 euros and one year in prison for the third transgression - if they do not verify that of their employees.

Regarding "

, the government wants to prosecute fraudsters for "

", with sentences ranging from two to five years in prison. But also for "swindle in an organized band" within the framework of a network, with sentences of up to ten years in prison.
