Iran confirms concerted resistance efforts to confront US economic war

The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stressed the need for concerted efforts by the countries and forces of the axis of resistance in the region in order to confront the US-Western economic war on their peoples.

Qalibaf indicated during his meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem in Tehran today that the resistance in Lebanon is at the peak of its strength and the Zionist enemy is afraid of confronting it.

In turn, Sheikh Qassem expressed his appreciation for the support extended by Iran to the Lebanese people and the peoples of the region.

In another meeting with the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority in Iraq, Faleh al-Fayyad, Qalibaf confirmed that the defeat of the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Iraq was the fruit of the struggle of the Iraqi people and their resistance, stressing the positive role of the Popular Mobilization Forces in establishing security in Iraq.

For his part, Al-Fayyad valued Iran's support for Iraq in combating terrorist groups.

In a related context, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, affirmed that the recent developments in the field proved the growing strength of the axis of resistance and the decline of the enemy's strength, despite its attempts via cyberspace to obscure these achievements.

During his meeting with Sheikh Qassem, Salami said: "Hezbollah in Lebanon is the force that guarantees security and pride for the Lebanese people, and the Zionists know this fact well," stressing Iran's continued support for the resistance in Lebanon.

Salami pointed out that the conditions today are ripe for the collapse of the Zionist entity.

In another meeting with the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority in Iraq, Faleh al-Fayyad, Major General Salami confirmed that the Iraqi Popular Mobilization played a key role in the Iraqi people's victory over the terrorist organization "ISIS" and in achieving security and stability for Iraq.

Salami said: “The real political forces are the ones that prove their presence in the field, and the Popular Mobilization has embodied this matter greatly in Iraq by confronting terrorism,” stressing that the Popular Mobilization, with its characteristics and specifications, is the guarantor of the continuation of confronting terrorism in Iraq.

In turn, Al-Fayyad expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Iran to the Iraqi people in their war against terrorism, stressing that the resistance movement is growing and it is determined to expel the American forces from Iraq.
