Iraqi forces arrested 6 terrorists in different areas of Anbar and Salah al-Din governorates.
And the Iraqi News Agency “INA” quoted the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, as saying in a statement: “The relentless efforts of the Counter-Terrorism Service continue to purify safe cities from the clutches of terrorist cells of the (ISIS) organization, as the apparatus’s formations arrested five terrorists in districts of Anbar province, and they also arrested another terrorist affiliated with (ISIS) in Salah al-Din province.”
Rasoul affirmed that the country's counter-terrorism agency will continue to work to eliminate ISIS terrorists in all locations.
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remnants of “ISIS” terrorists in a number of Iraqi regions, as yesterday they eliminated a number of “ISIS” terrorists after targeting their hideout in Diyala Governorate, eastern Iraq.
In the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh, the General Electricity Transmission Company announced the suspension of a power transmission line in Nineveh as a result of sabotage.
The company stated that the East Mosul line was halted as a result of a sabotage act by detonating an explosive device on the tower numbered 23, type XYB, which led to a cut in the wires in the Salamiyah area near the village of Al-Kasr in Nineveh Governorate.
