After a party in Berlin, employees of a vaccination center were infected.
This also applies to their almost 500 employees.
At the same time, a party pilot project is running in the capital.
Berlin - Berlin is known for its parties.
Last weekend, 43 employees of the DRK vaccination center in Arena insisted on celebrating at an open-air party.
The private party took place in the techno club Kater Blau.
But the fun hours probably had health consequences for the employees.
As
BZ-berlin
reports, eight employees of the vaccination center are said to have tested positive for the corona virus.
A spokeswoman for the German Red Cross (DRK) has so far confirmed three cases.
The spokeswoman did not want to comment on whether the employees at the party in question were infected.
"It can be assumed that those affected have been infected in their private lives," it says instead.
It is also unclear whether they were vaccinated.
According to the statements, the vaccination rate among the 500 employees in the DRK test center is 98 percent.
After the party night in Berlin: the infected person appeared on duty - 500 tests in the vaccination center necessary
On Thursday (5.8) a first rapid test was positive in all three. The infections have now been confirmed by a PCR test. Two of the affected employees had not started their work that day, according to the reports, due to symptoms. However, an infected helper in the first aid area appeared on the shift. This has far-reaching consequences. All 500 employees at the vaccination center now have to undergo a test. Direct contact persons were "taken out of service as a preventive measure," the spokeswoman told
Spiegel
. So far there are already 125 negative results.
There is no danger for those who want to be vaccinated.
The infected employee had no contact with vaccination candidates on Thursday.
In addition, there is a very low risk of infection in the vaccination center due to the current mask requirement and the regular testing of employees, according to DRK spokeswoman Regina Kneiding to the

Party nights in Berlin: pilot project started - two nights of partying without mask and distance
At the same time, the “Reboot Clubculture” pilot project is running in Berlin this weekend.
Without a gap, without a mask: On August 7th and 8th, six clubs will open their doors again for 2,000 party guests.
Vaccinated or unvaccinated did not matter.
To enter, visitors only need a negative PCR test result.
The conclusion after the first night of the party was positive compared to the private party of the vaccination center employees.

"All safety mechanisms have taken effect," said Lutz Leichsenring from the club commission on Saturday afternoon. Around 2200 tests were carried out on Friday in the three PCR test centers set up for the project. In addition to the guests, the staff and artists were also tested. For some visitors, however, the party night ended in front of the club door. There were seven positive tests before the start of the pilot project. "The people concerned have been contacted and placed in quarantine," said Leichsenring. Like the managing director of Think.Health, Florian Kainzinger of the
FAZ
announced, the tickets of those who tested positive were blocked.
Think.Health is responsible for testing the guests.
Berlin's politician Klaus Lederer was also “totally happy” about the start of the project: “Club culture is part of the city's DNA,” he said.
