The late Moshe Etzion, 88, the father of Zevik who was killed on the last day of Operation Eitan, today (Sunday) ended his life over his son's grave. .

A statement from the Eshkol Regional Council stated that Moshe had left his home in Kibbutz Nirim earlier today.

And after an absence of a few hours, a search began for him that also reached the cemetery - where he was found lifeless on Zevik's grave.

At Kibbutz Nirim, Moshe was praised: "Moshe bravely stood not only in bereavement but also in the circumstances of his life as a Holocaust survivor. Since Zevik's death, Moshe has been in an endless effort to be worthy of Zevik's legacy as he believed and told dozens of places and events.



The council also said that Moshe was "a well-known, active and beloved figure in the cluster. A symbol of the values ​​of giving, love of man and the country."

His funeral will be held tomorrow (Monday) at 6:30 p.m. in Nirim.
