The couple Shira and Amichai Ish Ran embraced this morning (Monday) a son, who will be born in the maternity ward of Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
There, about two and a half years ago, they were informed in tragic circumstances that their infant son did not survive the attack experienced by the parents at the Ofra junction.
In December 2018, while many people were waiting for a hitchhiker at the entrance to the Ofra settlement, terrorists who arrived at the scene opened fire on its occupants, and fled the scene quickly.
The pregnant Ran man was seriously injured, her husband Amichai was moderately injured, along with five other people.
Immediately after the attack, Ran was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital, where she was treated by the doctors who had to give birth to her, even though she was only seven months pregnant.
Four days after the attack, the baby died.
