Citizens 'petitions in sight: Citizens' initiative Pfrombach / Aich hands over 1700 signatures

The citizens' initiative Pfrombach / Aich wants to prevent arable land in Pfrombach from being converted into an industrial area.

- The citizens' initiative Pfrombach / Aich officially started the process of introducing a referendum on Monday. Sebastian Greil, Felix Rust and Jörg Breuer had appeared at the Moosburg town hall to submit the list of signatures for the citizens' petition to the city administration. The authorities now have a month to check the admissibility of the documents. August 9th was deliberately chosen as the date for the handover, according to Sebastian Greil, so that the topic is definitely on the agenda of the first city council meeting after the summer break.

As for the review, the initiators of the referendum are confident. The required number of signatures of 1270 was clearly exceeded. In the past few weeks, more than 1700 Moosburg citizens have supported objections to the ELA Container company's expansion plans with their signatures. For the legal examination, BI made use of the expertise of a competent law firm. Sebastian Greil believes that they designed the formulations in such a way that nothing should go wrong there either. As soon as the admissibility is established, it would be voted on at the next city council meeting and possibly a date for the referendum would be set.

Or the committee even decides to recognize the vote from the signature campaign and to accept the petition in the form submitted.
