The head of the State Institute for the Training of Remedial Teachers, Josef Steinberger, has anchored his last boat.
now his deputy is going to sea.

- Despite the small size, some guests of honor were welcomed. Freising's Lord Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher praised the consistently good cooperation. Ministerialdirigent Walter Gremm, Head of Department 3 at the Ministry of Culture, praised Steinberger's services in 39 years of his career, Ministerialratin Gisela Stückl thanked Steinberger for his commitment. Then Gremm presented the retirement certificate to Josef Steinberger.
The former district administrator Josef Hauner, representative of the government of Upper Bavaria and several school authorities as well as former seminar leader colleagues and companions, his wife and the head of the State Institute Bayreuth applauded Steinberger vigorously - and of course the entire team of the State Institute. Beatrix Graupner compared the 39 years of work with a sea voyage in which Steinberger had now successfully anchored his last boat as head of the institute. Video messages from former colleagues were faded in for the previous service areas in the school, seminar and school office. Graupner reviewed the three and a half years of management work at the institute with many photos and anecdotes and expressly thanked Steinberger for his tireless efforts.The staff and the course speakers of the students said goodbye with words of thanks and gifts.
In his closing speech, Steinberger emphasized the importance of the work of the special needs teachers and the value of training at the state institute.
He thanked everyone who accompanied him with numerous memories.
The farewell was accompanied musically by a small band from the institute.
