Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed the need to achieve the interests of the Iranian people in all negotiations regarding the nuclear agreement.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the Iranian president as saying, during a phone call today with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, that the Americans persisted, in their flagrant violation of the commitments under the nuclear agreement, to impose new types of embargo on Iran, which included humanitarian goods as well. The side of America, and the non-compliance of the three European countries, France, Britain and Germany, as parties to the nuclear agreement, to their commitments stipulated in this international agreement.
On the recent regional developments, Raisi affirmed Iran's firm adherence to protecting security and deterrence in the Gulf region and the Sea of Oman, and its standing against the destabilizing elements of regional stability.
For his part, Macron stressed the need for cooperation between Iran and France to establish peace and stability in the region, pointing to his efforts to reach a solution regarding the withdrawal of the United States from the nuclear agreement and the resumption of related negotiations.
