Moshe Etzion, 88, who ended his life yesterday, was laid to rest today (Monday) at Kibbutz Nirim in the western Negev.

Moshe's body was found in the kibbutz cemetery, above the grave of his son, Zevik Etzion, who was killed on a solid cliff.

Moshe's daughter, Smadar Etzion Halperin, paid tribute to him: "He was a big, brave, strong man, as soon as he became weak he decided it was enough for him.

She added that "he wanted to end his life, did not want to be supported and consumed."

Moshe Etzion, 88, the father of Zevik who was killed on the last day of Operation Eitan, ended his life on the anniversary of the death of his son, Zevik Etzion.

Ze'evik killed his post Security Officer Kibbutz Nirim, where the father lived with the rest of the family. Moses was a Holocaust survivor, who was lecturing for years about what had happened to the students and soldiers in the world.

Kibbutz Nirim mourned Moses, "since the death of Zeev Moses was making an earnest effort does Sophie to be worthy of Zevik's legacy.

"Moshe instilled in all of us pride and faith that anything is possible."

"Once he weakened he decided it was."

A statement from the Eshkol Regional Council stated that Moshe had left his home in Kibbutz Nirim earlier today.

And after an absence of a few hours, a search began for him that also reached the cemetery - where he was found lifeless on Zevik's grave.

Moses left behind a wife, a daughter and grandchildren.
