Corona virus infections and hospitalizations in the United States rose to the highest level in six months due to the rapid spread of the mutated Delta strain in parts of the country where vaccination rates are still low.
A Reuters statistic based on public health data indicated that the average number of Covid-19 infections in three days in a row reached 100,000 infections nationwide, an increase of 35% over the past week.
And the states of Louisiana, Florida and Arkansas recorded the largest number of injuries, while the rate of hospital admissions to receive treatment from the effects of Corona increased by 40 percent, and deaths recorded an increase of 18 percent during the past week.
Yesterday, Director of the National Institutes of Health, Francis Collins, warned that the country is failing to combat the epidemic and said: “We should not have reached where we are in this regard in terms of the number of epidemic infections, we are failing.”
The United States continues to lead the countries most affected by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths, with 63,3202 deaths out of 365,77523 infections.
