After about a month in which the Netanyahu family no longer lives in the official residence in Balfour, the family was in no hurry to return to their home in Caesarea, with sources claiming that the reason is the broken air conditioner.

In recent weeks, the opposition leader has spent most of his time in hotels, including the Leonardo Plaza Hotel in Jerusalem, at the expense of the Knesset and by virtue of his eligibility as a Member of Knesset, at the Island Hotel in Netanya and last weekend at the Dan Carmel Hotel in Haifa.

Netanyahu's spokesman said in response to this news that "the Netanyahu family paid for the repair of the air conditioner in Caesarea out of his own pocket. Former Prime Minister Netanyahu did not know that there was a difference in price between the room booked and the one actually received.

The Dan Carmel Hotel reported in a news release here: "The former prime minister was hosted in Dan Carmel and paid for himself. The hotel has never given this or that details about this or that guest. We suggest not to get caught up in rumors and gossip."
