While the drivers are in fitness training: A Haifa resident was arrested on suspicion of breaking into cars
The suspect, 37, was arrested after several similar complaints were filed with the police, about cars that were broken into while their owners were in physical training in the Jezreel Valley and Haifa area, and valuable property was stolen from them.
The police intend to file an indictment against him in the coming days, as well as request an extension of his detention until the end of the legal proceedings.

A 37-year-old Haifa resident was arrested last week on suspicion of breaking into vehicles in the north of the country and stealing money and property from them.
According to the suspect, he used to break into cars while their owners were in physical training.
One of the main sites where the suspect carried out the burglaries was a sun forest in the Jezreel Valley, and also operated in several places near Kibbutz HaSolelim and Hecht Park in Haifa.
In the coming days, the police will file an indictment against him.
The suspect was apprehended after a number of similar complaints were recently received by the police, which revealed that cars had been broken into while their owners were engaged in sporting activities.
According to the same complaints, the vehicle owners would return to their cars after training and discover that the vehicles had been broken into, damaged and that valuable money and property had been stolen from them.

In one case, a doctor's car was broken into, and with the help of her credit card, the suspect withdrew NIS 6,000 from her account.
In addition, he stole from her car a stethoscope device and personal equipment, which he later tried to sell.
The owner of another car to which he broke into, complained that he stole about NIS 8,000 and $ 2,000 in cash from her car.
A total of seven burglary cases were reported by the suspect during a period of one month, which yielded him thousands of shekels.

Following the incidents, the Nazareth Police opened an investigation, during which the police managed to trace the identity of the suspect, a 37-year-old Haifa resident.
