One watchword: anticipate even more than usual!
With the extension of the health pass to national flights this Monday, August 9, boarding time may be extended due to the strengthening of controls.

", the ADP group (formerly Aéroports de Paris), manager of the two Paris airports, recommends that travelers arrive two hours in advance for a domestic flight and three hours in advance for a flight international.
In May, the International Air Transport Association (Iata) said the time spent by travelers at airports had simply doubled between 2019 and 2021, from an average of 1.5 hours to 3 hours.
A paradoxical situation, current air traffic representing only 30% of that before the Covid-19 pandemic.
This situation, for example, forced Nice airport to reopen its terminal 1 from July 21 to September 7 in order to "support the strengthening of health checks on certain international flights".

The health pass verified in advance at Air France
To make boarding more fluid, some companies offer to check the health pass before departure. Illustration with the Ready to Fly service (literally “ready to take off”) implemented by Air France and KLM since mid-July. On eligible flights, customers are invited to send their health documents (vaccination certificate, negative screening test or recovery certificate) a few days before their flight via an online platform. Once the documents have been verified and validated, the company issues a boarding pass with the words “Ready to Fly”, which then exempts the passenger from presenting their health pass. This service is currently only offered to a limited number of destinations: Corsica, the French overseas territories, Greece, Germany, Dakar (Senegal) and Bamako (Mali). The Corsair company offers an identical verification service, called Facilipass.
In order to limit flows, the ADP group also recalls on its website that access to the terminals is "reserved for passengers and people accompanying minors, disabled passengers, with reduced mobility, or even vulnerable people" .
