The incident began last night, after several shots were fired at Peretz's vehicle on Haneviim Street in Bat Yam.
The shooting occurred while Peretz was driving the vehicle, and when her four-year-old daughter was sitting in the back seat.

According to one eyewitness, the shooter was standing near the WIZO residence located on the street, fired at the vehicle and fled.

"We ran straight to the car to see what happened," said Shlomi, one of the eyewitnesses at the scene. "We saw a woman sitting in the driver's seat.
