A musical evening marked by technical dazzle, breaking classic stereotypes, and moving away from the ordinary, embodied the modern sciences that Syrian youth acquire under difficult circumstances that affect their homeland in the form of creative academic projects with a global flavor in the center of the capital, Damascus.

The audience of Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts used to present the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, every evening with a new challenge and a different project to unleash on today’s evening, which was hosted by the Opera Theater for young people’s ideas, mixing music with the modern style of audio-visual techniques through a modern evening of film music. The evening translated the efforts of the Syrian symphony in recent years in terms of supporting young creators, but it was distinguished today for being the first cooperation with the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts with its young graduates, so it bore the title of the graduation project of the Department of Theatrical Techniques for the academic year 2021-2020.

The evening program, which was led by Maestro Baghboudrian and supervised by the professor at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts Adham Safar, lasted for about half an hour, during which the symphony band played music for famous international films in an attempt to live the audience of Dar Al-Assad visually with the films, where they presented a visual language that integrated elements of sound, lighting and music and a picture.

In a statement to Sana Bin Safar, the goal of the evening today is to motivate young people to enter the labor market in a correct manner and to familiarize the public with them and the sciences they receive during four academic years punctuated by fatigue, receiving experience and continuous work, in addition to highlighting the theatrical techniques section, which is one of the five important sections in Institute.

Safar stressed that the work on the students of the Institute is perfect, which is reflected in their professional graduation projects, praising the role of the professors supervising sound and montage to present the students’ graduation project at a high level with the Syrian Symphony and be a milestone between their graduation and their entry into the battlefield of practical life at the beginning of their career careers.

The students participating in the project and candidates for a bachelor's degree in visual arts are Baraa Taraqji, Waheed al-Hamed, Diaa al-Najjar, Saeed Saeed, Abd al-Rahman Simsimiya, Lama Muhammad, Muhammad al-Zubi, Manaf Hassan and Huda Shaaban.
