Bad Tölz - meeting in Tölz town hall: solar park encounters headwind - construction start on Zwickewiese.

The company Kilian Willibald from Lenggries has started to build a construction road between the state road 2072 and the so-called Zwickerwiese on behalf of the city of Bad Tölz.

It opens up the “Hintersberg II” building area, for which the city is known to want to create living space for local families.

The new road is supposed to commence construction site traffic.

The new building area will then be accessed via Heissstrasse.

The contract to the Willibald company was awarded by the city council in a closed session.

According to Mayor Ingo Mehner, the costs amount to 270,000 euros.

Solar park is a cause for concern

The district town and its neighboring communities - often a difficult relationship: In Fischbach, the community of Wackersberg once feared "Moloch Tölz", the Gaißachers put a concrete plant in front of the Tölz people south of the Moraltgelände and now the Greilingers want to be next to this meadow at the eastern entrance to Tölz build a solar park on the B 472.

The project does not meet with approval in the Tölz town hall.

On the meadow behind the Lettenholzschule and south of the airfield, the municipality of Greiling would like to build a 2.8 hectare solar field on federal highway 472.

Solar modules should have a height of up to 3.5 meters

For Tölz 'Mayor Ingo Mehner (CSU) the question arose in the most recent building committee meeting whether this was the right area for such a project: "The townscape will be massively changed," he said.

A large open-space photovoltaic system with 5,600 modules and a total output of 2,000 kWp (kilowatt peak) is planned.

The solar modules should have a height of up to 3.5 meters.

The building project of the neighboring community puts Bad Tölz in a quandary: On the one hand, the city is committed to the energy transition and years ago it set up a solar field in the Farchet business park.

On the other hand, however, she fears that the cityscape at the eastern end of the town will change considerably for the worse.

Mayor Mehner recently talked about this with his colleague Anton Margreiter (FW) from Greiling on the phone.

"In a good atmosphere," as Mehner reported, "but we didn't get together in terms of content."
