A

police dog returned to duty

after being seriously injured in a stabbing attack two months ago in the UK.

Kaiser

was stabbed

five times in the head and once below his eye

while attempting to subdue a criminal in the English county of Kent earlier this year.

However, after a couple of months that it took him to recover from the serious injuries caused, the

German shepherd

yesterday looked much better when he returned to his daily work in the force, local media reported.

Toy and great welcome

The welcome that the animal featured two special people for the occasion: the Mayor and Mayor of Bromley, who came out to wish Kaiser well and

give him a new toy

to congratulate him on his recovery.

The mayor of Bromley gave him a new toy as a welcome gift.

The Croydon Metropolitan Police, where Kaiser is based, said on Twitter: "After being brutally stabbed in June, PD Kaiser and his handler, PC Woolcott, were greeted back by Chief Superintendent Dave Stringer and the Mayor and Mayor. from Bromley this morning. "

And they highlighted the happiness that the German Shepherd Kaiser showed after receiving his new toy, as a sign of appreciation for his bravery.

The day of the stabbing attack

On

Sunday May 30

, Kaiser was on patrol with Mark Woolcott when around 11pm they were alerted to the presence of an intruder in the backyard of a house on Luxted Road in Orpington.

Kaiser was stabbed while trying to subdue a criminal.

He did not die of a miracle.

The police couple, officer and dog, began to investigate and found a man on a path behind the house.

At that time, when

Kaiser was stabbed while trying to subdue the subject

.

Despite the repeated assault, Kaiser was able to keep the suspect under control long enough for officers to detain him.

Injuries and return

Immediately after the attack, the animal was rushed to a veterinarian, who fortunately discovered that the stab wounds to the top of the head

had struck the bone, preventing the knife from entering further causing more serious or irreversible injuries

The German Shepherd looked much better on his return.

At the time, Superintendent Emma Richards, of the task force that includes the Canine Support Unit, said Kaiser was "lucky to be alive."

With courage, dedication and care, he made a satisfactory recovery and is now back in the ring, to continue taking care of the neighbors.
