Recruiting 2021: Walla!

Accompanies the next generation of warriors to the BKOM

Ofri is excited about the service as a rescue fighter, that Gib enlists in the armor following his uncle who fell in the helicopter disaster and his grandfather who fought in the six days, and Omar is sure that a fighter in the air defense system is exactly the job for her.

This week begins the recruitment of boys and girls in the August 2021 cycle for the field units and fighters.

Over the course of about three weeks, thousands of teens will begin their service in combat units and other support arrays.

This time, though, against the backdrop of the spread of the corona, family members and lenders will not be able to enter the recruitment bureaus themselves.

Here at Walla!

We chose to accompany eight of them, boys and girls, during the preparations for enlistment and in the IDF, as they put on their uniforms and embark on their long journey as soldiers in the IDF.

And this time: Meet Ofri Eitan from Samaria who will enlist as a fighter in the rescue and rescue brigade;

Sagiv Melal, who will join the 7th Armored Brigade following his uncle and grandfather;

And Amar Dolev from Shoham, who will join the air defense system as a fighter.

In the coming weeks we will meet five more fighters.

Ofri studied at Urban A in Modi'in, and expanded her majors in philosophy and geography.

She lived with her mother, after her father died of cancer when she was 10. From a young age, she joined the Maccabi Tzair youth movement, and in high school she also volunteered for the movement.

For the past year, she studied at the "Upper Galilee" pre-military preparatory school, at the Kfar Hanassi branch.

She is very happy about the placement, and is excited to start the significant role.

Sagiv studied at the Beit Israel preparatory school in Jerusalem for the past year.

He was to enlist in the 7th Brigade, following in the footsteps of Sagi Berkovich, his uncle, who was killed in the helicopter disaster, and following the grandfather who himself fought in the 7th Brigade during the Six Day War.

Amar has two little sisters (twins) who are in the eighth grade.

In high school she expanded biology and studied theater, and B.B. focused on directing. Amar believes that she can give a lot of herself, and that warfare is one of the ways to contribute to the country in the best way.
