The school helpers at the Joseph Friedrich Lentner Primary School in Peiting have been a beneficial institution for over 21 years.
Now the market town has invited the volunteer women and men to a cozy dinner.

- "It is a small thank you for your willingness and the commitment you have shown," emphasized Mayor Peter Ostenrieder at the celebration.
At the same time, he expressed the hope that committed new staff would be added again at the beginning of the school year in September.
The market community depends on the volunteers so that the children can continue to get to school and home safely in the future.
This was also underlined by Werner Hoyer from the Schongau regional traffic watch.
Hoyer, who as an active police officer was one of the first to be actively involved at the start, knows how incredibly important this service is.
"Wherever there is a school helper, no child will be taken and kidnapped in someone else's car," he says, referring to the statistics.

Badges of honor in gold and silver: Award for years of service
Peiting's mayor von Hoyer received a lot of praise for the application of “shark teeth”, which was a pioneering achievement in southern Bavaria. With the triangular markings at the intersections of the Tempo 30 zones, drivers are made aware of possible traffic from the right and the residential areas are safer. Gabriele Filser and Barbara Bußjäger have been with the school helpers for 21 years, i.e. from the beginning, and have coordinated the service ever since. Both got the gold medal. Just like Ute Ackermann for ten years.
The silver medal for five years of service went to Veronika Klein, Leonhard Schönacher, Cornelia Straub, Sandra Rhode, Susan Bertl and Johanna Wörnzhofer. The bronze certificate for three years of service was given to Daniela Schmid, Heidi Torounidis, Ramona Bader, Regina Henkel, Veronika Echtler, Tanja Rokitte, Andrea and Sofie Schleich, Stefanie Wörnzhofer, Monika Fischer, Andrea and Georg Sellmaier and Verena Sperling. There were also certificates of thanks for the dropouts Jennifer Pietruszinski, Stefanie Schmid and Sophie Schallhammer.
